Full Stack Software Engineer (AI Developer)

As an AI Software Developer, you will work together with a team of dedicated experts including AI scientists, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects with a single goal of building the best-in-class AI products. You will work against fixed timelines and your success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions matching the performance of top-notch artificial intelligence systems.

Expectations and tasks
Your tasks include:

1. Push the frontiers of what is possible in artificial intelligence to create new solutions.
2. Explore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for cloud applications and data pipelines.
3. Comfortably handle multi-terabyte data sets in scale-up and scale-out environments
4. Strive for automation and cloud operation readiness.
5. Understand business processes which create and consume data to be able to select best approaches, evaluate their performance and assess business relevance.
6. Supports machine learning research/project teams with all aspects around data.
7. Builds scalable and re-usable data processing pipelines.
8. Create excellence both in terms of results quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation.
9. Work closely with the team, customers, and partners to holistically understand business and user requirements and derive adequate application development concepts.
10. Performing quality assurance tasks and solving complex integration issues.
11. Ability to work in global teams with different time zones.
12. Immerse yourself quickly into new topics, terminology, and developm.

Educational and experience requirements

Required

1. Degree in Computer Science or related field
2. At least 2 years of working experience as software developer, preferrable in AI focused cloud application development.
3. A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, objects-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles
4. Hands-on knowledge in at least two of the server/ client-side programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, Python, node.js, C++
5. Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and Kafka
6. Hands-on knowledge of the frameworks such as Spring, Play, AngularJS, Flask etc.
7. Fundamental knowledge of container & orchestration technologies like docker, Kubernetes etc.
8. Experience with cloud-based application development using platforms such as AWS, Azure & Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
9. Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
10. Strong desire to overcome obstacles
11. Excellent written and communication skills in English language.

Optional

Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting, PowerShell
Excellent web UI programming skills (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)

Knowledge of UI Design Patterns and Interactions
