Job Opportunity: Backend Developer (Remote)
About UltraTrader: UltraTrader is a growing startup that provides a powerful trading journal app for mobile and desktop platforms, catering to users around the globe. Our mission is to help traders of all levels improve their performance by offering intuitive tracking tools and data-driven insights. As we expand our platform, we are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our remote team and contribute to building the next generation of trading tools.
Mission: As a Backend Developer at UltraTrader, you will:
- Develop, Optimize, and Maintain Features: Deliver high-quality backend features, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. You will actively participate in feature planning and work within project deadlines to implement solutions.
- Monitor the Backend: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to ensure backend reliability and performance. Troubleshoot issues proactively, maintaining uptime and performance standards.
- Collaborate with the Product Team: Work closely with the product and frontend teams to align backend development with business needs, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.
- Participate in Code Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to uphold coding standards, improve code quality, and share knowledge across the team.

- Knowledge of the latest best practices in the industry
- Ability to balance between the fastest method and the best method.
- A track record of owning a product or feature from inception to delivery.
- Efficiency in working under pre-agreed deadlines.
- Passion for understanding the product and the needs of its users.
- Confidence in making and owning decisions.
- Openness to feedback and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express
- RESTful API Development
- SQL Expertise (Raw queries and ORMs)
- Docker Experience
- API Documentation (Postman)
- Version Control (Git)
- Linux Proficiency
- 3+ Years of Professional Experience
- Agile Methodologies
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Nice-to-Haves:
- GraphQL Experience
- Architecture and SOLID Principles
- DevOps Familiarity
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience in Trading (stocks, crypto, forex, etc.)
