مهندس ارشد دکل مسئول ارائه رهبری فنی و پشتیبانی جهت اطمینان از عملکرد ایمن، کارآمد و مقرونبهصرفه دکل حفاری جکآپ است. این نقش شامل نظارت بر نگهداری، عیبیابی و بهینهسازی عملکرد سیستمهای حفاری، تجهیزات مکانیکی/برقی و زیرساخت دکل میباشد. همچنین، این فرد تضمین میکند که کلیه عملیات مطابق با استانداردهای ایمنی، مقرراتی و عملیاتی انجام میشود.

Job Location: Offshore (Exact Rig Location)
Reporting to: Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) / Rig Manager
Job Description:
The Senior Rig Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and support to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of a jack-up drilling rig. This role includes overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting and performance optimization of drilling systems, mechanical/electrical equipment and rig infrastructure. The individual also ensures that all operations are carried out in accordance with safety, regulatory and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drilling Systems Supervision:
• Oversees maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of rig drilling systems (e.g., top drives, rotary systems, blowout preventers, mud pumps, and control systems)
• Monitors drilling equipment performance and implements improvements or modifications to optimize rig efficiency and safety
• Provides technical support to the drilling team during operations, including planning, preparing, and executing drilling activities
2. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability:
• Ensures implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Monitors and ensures rig equipment is operating within acceptable limits and in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Assists in troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures to reduce downtime
3. Technical Leadership and Supervision:
• Direct and mentor junior engineers, technicians and rig staff in technical aspects of operations
• Provide on-the-job training to ensure the team is familiar with the operation and maintenance of the equipment
• Supervise and coordinate the daily engineering activities on the rig, in line with safety and operational standards
4. Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with marine safety regulations, industry standards and company policies
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Participate in daily and weekly safety meetings and ensure engineering risks are properly managed
• Conduct maintenance and operation operations with minimal environmental impact
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of engineering activities including maintenance logs, technical reports and equipment performance records
• Prepare and submit engineering performance reports to senior management and the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)
• Assist in the preparation of daily and weekly reports on equipment performance, downtime and maintenance
6. Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Assist in preparing budgets for rig equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions
• Monitor consumption of spare parts, materials and tools for effective inventory management
• Collaborate with supply teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment
7. Project Management:
• Lead or participate in engineering projects related to rig upgrades, equipment replacements, and implementation of new technologies
• Coordinate with various departments and contractors for rig projects and improvements
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and within safety and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related) or equivalent technical certification
• At least 8-10 years of experience in offshore drilling operations, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a senior engineering or supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of jack-up rig systems, including drilling equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and automation
• Familiarity with marine industry standards and regulations (e.g. API, ISO, OHSAS) and safety principles
• Proficiency in the use of maintenance management software (CMMS) and MS Office applications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Possess valid marine survival and health certifications (e.g. BOSIET, HUET)
Skills Desirable:
• Experience in advanced drilling systems, automation and rig upgrades
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams
• Knowledge of rig certification and audit processes
• Experience in offshore operations in diverse areas or challenging conditions (e.g. deep water or severe weather conditions)
Working Conditions:
• Long offshore duty periods (typically 2-4 weeks on site, 2-4 weeks off)
• Exposure to harsh weather and marine environments
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as required by engineering or maintenance
