The CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and regulatory compliance of an airline’s or operator’s aircraft fleet. They support the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization in overseeing maintenance planning, technical records, and regulatory adherence to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure aircraft compliance with regulatory authorities (EASA Part-CAMO, FAA, ICAO, etc.).
- Monitor airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and modifications.
- Maintain aircraft technical records and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Develop and oversee aircraft maintenance programs (AMP) and reliability monitoring.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance, repairs, and overhauls with maintenance providers (MROs).
- Assist in optimizing maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
- Work closely with aviation authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure adherence to safety management systems (SMS) and quality standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze aircraft performance data and maintenance trends.
- Provide technical recommendations for defect rectification and fleet improvements.
- Assist in aircraft lease return and delivery processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, flight operations, and maintenance teams.
- Liaise with lessors, manufacturers, and aviation regulators on airworthiness matters.
- Support training initiatives for maintenance personnel and CAMO staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of continuing airworthiness regulations (EASA Part-CAMO, FAA, ICAO).
- Experience in aircraft maintenance planning and technical records management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in aviation software and maintenance management systems.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, aviation maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CAMO or aircraft maintenance.
- Experience with aircraft reliability programs and maintenance planning.
