As our Product Designer, you are the architect of the user's experience. You are a systems-thinking generalist who is equally passionate about high-level UX strategy and pixel-perfect UI execution.
You will be the primary design partner to our Product Manager and User Researcher. Your job is to take the "what" from the PM and the "why" from the UR's insights and transform them into intuitive, beautiful, and "wow-worthy" product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design Research & Synthesis: Partner closely with our User Researcher and Product Manager to define research questions. You will be a key participant in synthesizing raw research, translating user insights into journey maps, personas, and actionable design principles.
- UX & Interaction Design: Map out user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to create simple, elegant flows for complex tasks (like regulatory compliance or AI-pricing).
- UI & Visual Design: Translate wireframes into a pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI. You will be the one to create the visual language, brand identity, and "feel" of our product.
- AI-First Design: Design elegant solutions for AI-driven features. How do you build user trust in an algorithm? How do you visualize data to make it actionable?
- Prototyping & Validation: Build interactive prototypes in Figma. You will partner with our User Researcher and PM to design and run rapid usability tests, iterating on your designs based on direct user feedback.
- Remote Collaboration: Effectively communicate your design rationale and decisions asynchronously to the team.
Requirements (What We're Looking For)
- Experience: 4-6+ years of product design experience (UX/UI), with a portfolio that shows you have shipped real products.
- Your Portfolio is Key: We need to see a portfolio that demonstrates:
- Experience designing complex, "zero-to-one" products from scratch.
- Strong UX and user-flow mapping.
- Exceptional visual design and high-fidelity UI skills.
- A clear articulation of your design process (the "why," not just the "what").
- Startup DNA: You must have early-stage startup experience. You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and are comfortable with a high degree of ownership.
- User-Centricity: You have a proven ability to translate qualitative and quantitative user research into high-quality design solutions. Experience in partnering closely with researchers is essential.
