Job Objective
At Miare, we’re looking for a Business Data Analyst to build and optimize analytical models that enhance financial and operational decision-making.
You will design SQL-based data models, create dashboards, and translate complex financial data into clear insights that guide pricing, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain analytical models and dashboards for financial and operational metrics.
- Write optimized SQL queries (ClickHouse, PostgreSQL) and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze profitability, cost efficiency, and performance trends using SQL and Excel.
- Automate reports and standardize KPIs for financial and strategy teams.
- Collaborate with Finance, Data, and Strategy teams to align models and improve decision quality.
- Leverage BI and AI tools to enhance analytical efficiency and reporting automation.
Task Complexity:
This role combines financial modeling and BI development in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll manage large datasets, automate recurring reports, and support data-driven decisions with accuracy and ownership.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse).
- Proven ability to design, optimize, and debug complex analytical queries (CTEs, aggregations).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Superset, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Understanding of financial and accounting data (e.g., ledger mapping, accrual tables).
Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration across finance, strategy, and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for advanced data analysis.
- Fast learner with the ability to navigate new datasets and business domains quickly.
- Ownership mindset with a focus on process improvement and data quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of financial modeling techniques (waterfall, profitability, forecasting).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization and exploration tools (e.g., Superset).
- Familiarity with dbt for data modeling and transformation.
- Product-thinking approach and data-driven decision-making mindset.
- Experience in performance optimization and data pipeline validation.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
