Job Overview:
The FP&A Manager is responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis efforts of the organization. This role involves managing the FP&A team, developing complex financial models, and providing strategic guidance to senior management based on financial insights and projections. The FP&A Manager plays a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and in supporting its execution by providing data-driven insights.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead, develop, and manage the FP&A team, ensuring high levels of performance and professional growth.
Oversee the development of financial models, conducting complex financial analyses to support the strategic decisions of the company.
Direct the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and various financial reports to ensure they accurately reflect the financial standing of the company.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and operational strategies.
Analyze industry trends and the company’s financial performance in comparison to forecasts and operational goals.
Collaborate with senior management to define and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s long-term business goals.
Manage the monthly financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports.
Lead the annual budgeting process, and provide periodic updates to the executive team.
Enhance financial and operational decision-making across the company through the introduction of performance metrics, financial controls, and operational benchmarks.
Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) strongly preferred.
Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, including prior management experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong executive presence with superior communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
