IT Systems Manager

Summary:

Manager – IT Systems is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Majid Al Futtaim Retail’s systems, and applications including but not limited to virtualization; business applications; security; backups, and recovery specifications. The role holder is responsible for monitoring and supporting the related workloads and working closely with Cloud teams to leverage new technologies and solutions. The Manager – IT Systems is also responsible for providing knowledge base and documentation, along with providing 3^rd level support for IT Systems.

He/she will also be responsible for liaising with IT, business, and security stakeholders for key projects in order to align with technical requirements as well as delegating the support and operational tasks to support teams and countries.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Support in infrastructure and application solutions, defining workloads physical and virtual infrastructure, functional capabilities, security, back-up, monitoring, and recovery

·    Contribute to the assessment of existing infrastructure & application platforms and solutions, implement modernization/refactoring strategy for on hybrid solutions

·    Mange daily operations for IT Systems domain (End Point Security, Microsoft Exchange Server, Email gateway, System Center Suite, Active Directory, Managed File Transfer) and other domains whenever required

·  Manage hardware in the Datacenter of different flavors, including server rackmount hardware, enclosures, SAN switches for connectivity and Storage area networks.

·      Manage Virtualization Technologies and layers (Hypervisor, Storage, Network) for Hyper-V and VMware technologies.

·      Manage Windows Deployment Services (Standard Image) and related services.

Minimum Qualifications/education

·        Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or a related field

·        Master’s degree in the same field is preferred

·   Microsoft Certifications are a must; other vendor certifications are preferred (A+, Network+, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS, Azure Fundamentals, O365)

Minimum experience

·      6+ years of experience in e-Commerce Grocery with experience in IT and related field; Proven experience as a Systems and Cloud    Engineer or in a similar role

·       Preferably 4+ years in the retail/e-Commerce business or closely related industry

Skills

·       Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems

·       Strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices

·       Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

·       Familiar with cloud technologies and SAAS solutions; Strong expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, system administration, and network security

·       Familiar with load balancing technologies

·        Good verbal and written communication skills

·     Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
